Aston Villa have signed midfielder Robert Snodgrass from West Ham.

The former Hull City man has joined on a season long loan and will wear the number seven shirt.

The move sees him link up once more with Steve Bruce who signed him for Hull.

Snodgrass [told the club website](“https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2017/08/25/transfer-news-snodgrass-joins-villa”): “I have had offers from other clubs but it was an easy decision to come here. You see the name Aston Villa with all its history, tradition, fanbase and it’s a place you want to come to.”
