The England Under 20 international made 12 senior appearances for Spurs last term.

He will be eligible to make his debut in this weekend’s Championship opener against Hull City.

Onomah [told the Villa website](“https://www.avfc.co.uk/News/2017/08/04/transfer-news-onomah-arrives-from-tottenham”): “This is a huge football club and I want to really make my mark here and prove to be a player the manager can rely on.

“I know that promotion is the aim and I am here to help us achieve that.””
