# Bordesley Green child sex predator jailed for 19 years

A Birmingham man who committed a string of sexual offences involving young girls has been jailed for **19 years**.

The offender, **Peter Collins** from Talfourd Street, **Bordesley Green** was involved in child sexual abuse since over two decades until a victim reported against him in **2016**.

Collins, a delivery driver, began his abuse in **1995** on an 11-year-old girl. His last recorded assault was on a 12-year-old girl who reported the crime.

Collins had denied the allegations claiming to have a condition which led him to fall asleep unexpectedly and do things that he was not aware of. Although, the witness evidence did not support his claims.

The **Birmingham Crown Court** on Monday convicted him of **12 charges**, including sexual assault, indecency with a child, indecent assault and causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
