Jay Rodriguez is expected to leave West Bromwich Albion after a release clause in his contract was triggered by Burnley.
The Clarets have made a £10million bid for the striker, who didn't travel with the Baggies squad to a pre-season camp with Spain.
Should the deal be completed, it would see Rodriguez return to his former club.
His departure would also follow hot on the heels of defender Craig Dawson.
