Ahead of the Christmas period, and with Birmingham in lockdown, [our special Facebook Live](https://www.facebook.com/birminghameastside/videos/2726426634272371/) brought a focus on small businesses in the area this lunchtime.

We speak to **Lucy Elvin** from Birmingham Museums who along with her colleagues set up the Virtual Christmas Gifts Market.

We also hear from **Levene Brown** of Crafted Preserves; **Sally Harper** of Sharper Arts BT; **Amelia Demiral** of amdemdesigns; and **Sheila Taft** \- all of whom are running small businesses in the area.

**Imran Akhtar** a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Management at the Birmingham City Business School at BCU, also joins us to talk about the area of self-employment; while he will also talk personally about testing positive for Coronavirus recently.
