Defender Nathan Baker says he’s joined “a club on the up”, after agreeing a move from Aston Villa to Bristol City.

The centre-back has signed a four-year deal with the Robins for an undisclosed fee.

He had been with Villa since he was 13, but said agreeing to the switch was not a difficult decision.

Baker [told the Bristol City website](https://www.bcfc.co.uk/news/i-m-joining-a-club-on-the-up-baker/?ref=birminghameastside.co.uk): “I fell it’s a club on the up - the potential is huge and I want to be a part of it.

“I want to play as many games as possible and help get the club into the Premier League.”
