**Teams from Warwickshire Gaelic Athletic Association have** **come together to help fight Covid-19**.

In a tweet from the Warwickshire league, they spoke about how clubs from across the Midlands are joining forces in the #clubtogether initiative to help local communities.

St Mary’s from Wolverhampton are one of the teams that got involved by sending food packages to vulnerable people.

This comes after the team had to postpone their 60th anniversary dinner and presentation evening which was scheduled for May.

Manager Gerry Bradley expressed his disappointment but understands why it couldn't take place given the governments current rules on social distancing.

"With it being such a big anniversary, it is disappointing, but we know it is the right thing to do as health is the most important thing," he said.

However, Bradley added when it does takes place, it will probably be even better.

"Us Irish love a party so I have no doubt when it does eventually happen, it will be an even bigger celebration."

In this time of uncertainty, the GAA want as many people to show their support and with everyone's help, we will hopefully beat this virus sooner rather than later.
