A group of students from **Birmingham City University** are hosting a lip sync battle to raise money for charity.

The event tomorrow (4th March) will take place in aid of [**St Basils**](https://web.archive.org/web/20161228191938/http://www.stbasils.org.uk/), which offers help for young homeless people.

**Becky Shipton**, one of the fashion business and promotion students behind the event, said:

> “St Basils is about providing the skills to gain a better start at life as well as employment and education opportunities.
>
> “It’s guaranteed to be a great night filled with music and laughter, while helping to raise funds for a very worthwhile cause.”

The students will be the ones doing the lip syncing — but they are also encouraging others to join them.

The event will take place at **Alfie Birds** in Digbeth at 9pm. The winner will take home £100 with the runner-up landing a bottle of champagne.
