A motorcyclist from Birmingham has died in a crash near Tamworth.
The 25-year-old was riding a blue Suzuki GSX-R bike on theA4091 at the junction with Salts Lane in Drayton Bassett at 11am today (July 19th) when he was involved in a collision with a Citroen Relay van.
A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: "Sadly, despite the efforts of paramedics and members of the public, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers are working with his family.
"The 47-year-old van driver was treated for minor injuries by ambulance staff at the scene.
"An investigation by Staffordshire Police's Collision Investigation Unit is underway."
