# Murder inquiry after woman dies in West Midlands

A [murder inquiry](https://www.west-midlands.police.uk/news/4928/murder-investigation-launched-after-woman-found-dead-netherton?ref=birminghameastside.co.uk) has been launched after a woman died in her home in **Netherton.**

**West Midlands Police** and **West Midlance Ambulance** services responded to a call at 8.15PM on Wednesday 24th January.

She was pronounced dead at the scene at **Cider Bank**, just outside of **Dudley**.

A 50 year old man was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital, where he is recovering from head injuries.

**Detective Inspector Paul Joyce**, said:

> “We are in the very early stages of this enquiry, but at present we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the woman’s death."

**Police** are asking for anyone with information to contact them on **101**.
